The  New York Onsite Wastewater Treatment Training Network, Inc. (OTN)  provides open enrollment and customized training throughout New York  State for the onsite wastewater treatment industry. The workshops  offered by OTN and DEC provide expert instruction and insight for anyone  involved with onsite wastewater treatment systems. The comprehensive  and well-developed curricula emphasize the importance of proper on-site  system performance as well as protecting water resources and the  environment.

Wastewater system regulatory staff and design professionals receive substantial benefits from attending OTN courses:

• Learn to conduct regulatory onsite work with competence and confidence.
  
• Develop contacts and exchange experiences with other industry professionals.
  
• Keep up-to-date on regulatory and legislative changes.
  
• Receive continuing education credits applicable to the requirements for renewal of a Professional Engineering license.
• Meet core training elements suggested by the NYS Department of Health for staff engaged in onsite system regulatory work.
  

Approved  and certified by the State Education Department, all courses provide  CEUs for Professional Engineers, Registered Architects and Land  Surveyors. These programs meet certification renewal requirements with  NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for Wastewater  Treatment Plant Operators, and are accredited by the Department of State  (NYSDOS) for in-service training of Code Enforcement Officials.
